Lori Lock
Owner and CEO
I’ve been working with seniors for most of my life; helping them brings me a great deal of joy and satisfaction. I've had the opportunity to work with some fantastic people who have helped influence and shape the future of my life. One was an internist who still made house calls. He was an amazing teacher and helped to begin filling my toolbox for future endeavors. Later I learned to build great teams in a very competitive home care equipment market, leading our teams to victory and placing in the top 5-10% of the company for about 15 years. Life happens to all of us and I took some time off to work through a family situation. When I went back to work, I wanted to try something new so I became a licensed insurance agent. I loved what I learned and the clients but that work did not fill my tank. I've seen gaps in care available for our seniors for years. They often don't want to ask their family and friends for help. After the encouragement of a dear friend and blessings from my husband, I decided to take a leap of faith in 2019 and open my own business. I did this part-time around my day job until March of 2020. I then left my day job and went full time with 5 Star Concierge, LLC. I love what I do and the people I serve. I’m a wife, a mom and a nana. My family is the center of my universe. I’ve been a Girl Scout leader, a Boy Scout leader, helped in classrooms and was a principal player on a team that got local bond levies passed to improve our schools.

Myra Breen
Myra is a Springfield native who split many of her formative years between Oregon and southern California. She's pleased to be back in her home state with her husband and two kids. Myra has a background in education and child development, with a masters in curriculum development and a full-time job with a K-12 virtual public charter school. While she's always worked in education, she's enjoying branching out and taking on roles in the caring professions. In the summers, she works at Renaissance Faires. When she's not at work, Myra enjoys singing with The Emerald Valley Chorus, baking, spending time with her family, and traveling. She is fortunate enough to co-chaperone her school's spring break trips, and has been able to take her family to Greece, Rome, Dublin, Wales, London, and Paris. She hopes to get a family selfie in all 50 US states before her eldest turns 18.

Terry O' Meara
I live in Eugene with my husband Roger and dog Snickers. I’m very active in my adult community putting on entertainment events for all park residents to participate in. I volunteer at Everyone Village a transitional housing program that helps people reintegrate into mainstream society, the program helps them with paperwork and job training while living in safe housing. I feel it is my calling to help people with whatever is needed.

Kathy Gibbs
Kathy is a third generation Oregonian who has traveled widely yet can assure you that “there’s no place like home!” Having spent time in countries like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Canada, it is clear to Kathy that The Pacific Northwest is where she wants to be. In 2004, Kathy received her Master’s of Social work (MSW) from Portland State University. At that time, she had completed ten years as a manager/supervisor for nationally accredited home visitation program Healthy Families America, which offered support and services to families in Marion and Polk counties. Kathy also had the privilege to travel to Japan to present the program to multiple prefectures. In 2013, she “retired” for the first time, but not for long. Alongside tennis, travel and learning to play the flute, she found plenty of things to occupy her time, including substitute teaching. In 2023, fate intervened to redirect her 5 Star Concierge. Kathy says: "I cannot believe how fortunate I was to cross paths with someone from 5 Star who introduced me to the unique and invaluable work that they do." Kathy continues: "I see my role working for 5 Star as a very special and valuable one. I get to provide a range of services and support to individuals, and indirectly to their families, who are dealing with multiple and varied challenges. It gives me the chance to work within my own value system regarding helping others in a nonjudgmental and caring manner. In many ways, I get as much benefit from them as they get from me. On a personal level, to know me is to also know how much I value good health and fitness at all stages of life. Being a 5 Star personal assistant is exactly what I should be doing at this stage in my life and I treasure this opportunity." Kathy is an avid tennis player, for fun and competitively. She also loves to run, hike, and participate in classes at the YMCA. She and her husband enjoy RV travel, and she treasures her time with two young grandsons.

Abi Liu
Abi was born and raised in Eugene, and started volunteering in retirement communities when she was in middle school. Since then she has been in care and customer service for as long as she could work, inspired by her mother to spread love and care to those who need it.
Sarita Angulo
After a career in healthcare, Sarita was delighted to find 5 Star Concierge! This work gives her a chance to help make people's everyday life a little easier and more pleasant. She is pleased that Lori puts a great emphasis on building relationships. Her hobbies include writing, reading, and bursting into song. The garden is her happy place, and she even likes pulling weeds!

Diana Harris
Diana spent most of her young life playing country music in different bands with her family. She traveled to many countries and across the United States doing USO tours. She then met her husband when she turned 33 and settled down, and now has two kids and is happy working at 5 Star Concierge.

Bill Lock
Bill was born in Illinois just outside the Chicago area in cornfield country. He was fortunate to be able to travel world wide with his parents while he was in high school. He graduated high school there and went to a couple different colleges majoring in accounting. Bill went to work for a liquor wholesaler as credit manager and purchasing agent and worked there for nine years until they went out of business. Turns out he was working for the Mafia... so he went back to school and got a degree in landscape design. He then moved to the Kansas City, MO area and worked for a nursery/landscape company. Bill moved to Bandon (OR) and went to work for a home medical equipment company, which specialized in the respiratory end of the business. He ended up working there for twenty years, living in Bandon, Coos Bay, and finally transferring to Eugene. Most of his time was spent in warehouse management while overseeing/managing the drivers and home delivery schedules. He then worked his way up to become the manager in Eugene. Bill left there and after a year of trying his hand at a working from home scheme, he went to work for another home medical equipment company for five years. He retired from there to help his wife, Lori, with 5 Star Concierge. Bill says: "I like animals (we have two dogs), hiking, and family, playing with our kids and grandkids. I have played a lot of golf, scuba-dived, hang-glided, parachuted, zip-lined, done a lot of camping, played a lot of basketball, and enjoy the great outdoors."

Cathy Holt
I'm new to Eugene, and have many years of experience working with older adults as a teacher in Alameda Adult School, and as a caseworker/activity planner at Asheville Housing Authority. As a former respiratory therapist, I've helped many elderly patients suffering from lung diseases. I've worked with individuals needing part time support through Home Instead. In my new business, Breathing for Health, I coach people with anxiety and stress in ways to balance their nervous system through the breath and other holistic strategies. While getting established, I am pleased to be able to serve seniors with disabilities or need for care.
Trish Mackey
Trish has had an interest in the aging part of life since her Grandparents lived to be over a hundred. This led to taking classes in Gerontology, the study of aging. Motherhood brought four children, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a great appreciation of what is needed at the different levels of life.
